Contact Us Effective date: 6 May 2026 Last updated: 15 August 2026 At SeMo Group, we believe a trusted football community starts with clear and responsible data practices. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how and why we use it, when we share it, how long we keep it, and the choices and privacy rights available to you when you use DiskieReels. This Privacy Policy applies to the DiskieReels mobile application, our websites, creator and advertising tools, support services, surveys, promotions, and other products or services that link to this Policy (collectively, the "Services"). It applies to all users, including viewers, creators, advertisers, and people who contact us. Certain sections provide additional information for residents of particular regions. This Policy covers personal information collected before and after its effective date. We may update our practices as DiskieReels develops. Where a material change affects previously collected information, we will provide notice and any consent, objection, or opt-out rights required by applicable law before applying that change. Questions and privacy requests may be sent to semogrouptech@gmail.com. 1. Who We Are DiskieReels is a football-focused short-video and social community operated by SeMo Group, with its principal office in Sandton, Johannesburg, South Africa. SeMo Group is the controller or responsible party for personal information processed through DiskieReels, except where another entity is identified at the time information is collected. For South African users, SeMo Group is the responsible party under the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 ("POPIA"). Our Information Officer or privacy representative can be contacted at semogrouptech@gmail.com. References to "DiskieReels," "SeMo Group," "we," "us," and "our" include affiliates and authorized service providers that help us operate the Services. 2. Information We Collect We collect information you provide, information generated when you use DiskieReels, and information received from service providers or other users. 2.1 Information You Provide Account and profile information. We may collect your email address, encrypted authentication credentials, username, display name, profile photograph, cover photograph, biography, links, country or region, account type, and other optional profile details. Passwords are handled by our authentication provider and are not available to other users. User content. We collect football reels, video files, thumbnails, descriptions, hashtags, categories, watermarks, photographs, audio, comments, replies, reactions, and other material you upload or create. Uploaded content may include metadata such as file type, size, duration, creation time, and technical properties. Social and engagement information. We process likes, saves, shares, reports, follows, follower and following relationships, views, watch completion, stars or gifts, profile visits, searches, category choices, and other interactions. We also process mentions and tags needed to notify or link users. Messages and attachments. If you use Inbox, we process direct messages, message-request status, images, videos, attachment metadata, delivery information, and related safety reports. Message content is used to deliver the conversation, maintain safety, investigate abuse, and provide support. Other conversation participants can save or share content they receive, so you should only send material you are comfortable sharing. Verification, moderation, and support information. We collect verification applications, documents or explanations you voluntarily submit, report reasons, appeals, safety complaints, support messages, diagnostic details, and communications with our team. Do not submit identity documents unless DiskieReels specifically requests them through an authorized process. Purchases and monetization. Where stars, gifts, subscriptions, advertising, creator earnings, or paid features are available, we may process transaction identifiers, purchase history, balances, payout status, tax or eligibility details, and billing contact information. Payment-card details are handled by the relevant app store or payment provider; we do not intend to store full payment-card numbers on DiskieReels systems. Surveys, promotions, and sponsor interactions. We may collect responses, football interests, preferred clubs or competitions, campaign entries, and information needed to administer promotions or sponsored experiences. 2.2 Information Collected Automatically Usage and activity data. We collect the screens and features you use, reels displayed or watched, watch duration and completion, playback events, searches, feed position, categories, clicks, uploads, downloads, ad interactions, notification interactions, timestamps, session duration, and error events. This helps us operate feeds, remember your place, measure engagement, detect abuse, and improve performance. Device and technical data. We may collect device model, operating system and version, app version, language, time zone, network type, IP address, mobile carrier, browser or WebView information, crash logs, performance diagnostics, and device or installation identifiers. Push-notification information. With permission, we process a push subscription or device token, platform, notification preferences, external user identifier, delivery status, and notification interactions. This allows DiskieReels to send activity alerts such as likes, comments, replies, follows, messages, gifts, and reels uploaded by followed creators. You can disable notifications in DiskieReels settings or your device settings. Approximate location. We may infer a general country, city, or region from your IP address for security, language, legal compliance, analytics, and locally relevant content. DiskieReels does not require precise GPS location for its core reel experience unless a future feature clearly requests permission and explains the purpose before collection. Cookies and similar technologies. Our websites and any permitted in-app web content may use cookies, software development kits, local storage, pixels, and similar technologies for authentication, preferences, fraud prevention, analytics, advertising, and service measurement. Device and browser controls may allow you to limit these technologies. 2.3 Device Permissions Depending on your device and the features you choose, DiskieReels may request access to: Photos, videos, files, or media so you can select a reel, thumbnail, profile image, cover image, or message attachment and save downloaded reels. Camera and microphone so you can record or capture content where that feature is available. Notifications so we can deliver activity and message alerts. Network access so the app can authenticate, load, upload, download, and synchronize content. Permissions are requested only when needed by a feature. You can review or withdraw permissions in your device settings. Withdrawing a permission may prevent the related feature from working but does not remove information already submitted to DiskieReels. 2.4 Information from Third Parties Authentication providers. If third-party sign-in is offered, the provider may send us an account identifier, email address or relay address, and profile information you authorize. Infrastructure and messaging providers. Our hosting, database, storage, content-delivery, security, analytics, and push-notification providers provide technical records needed to run DiskieReels, such as authentication events, storage paths, delivery receipts, device tokens, errors, and abuse signals. Current services may include Supabase for backend infrastructure and OneSignal for push notifications. App stores and payment providers. Google Play or another platform may provide purchase confirmation, subscription status, refunds, country, and fraud signals. We receive only the information necessary to provide and account for the transaction. Advertising and measurement partners. Where advertisements or sponsored reels are enabled, partners may provide campaign identifiers, impressions, clicks, conversion information, device identifiers, and inferred interests, subject to applicable consent and opt-out requirements. Other users. Users may provide information about you when they mention you, share your content, report content or conduct, upload content featuring you, or sync a social interaction with DiskieReels. 3. How We Use Information We use personal information for the following purposes and, where required, rely on the legal bases stated below. Provide and maintain the Services (contract). We create and secure accounts; authenticate sessions; host, process, display, and distribute reels; provide feeds, search, profiles, categories, comments, replies, likes, follows, saves, shares, reports, messages, downloads, gifts, and notifications; remember settings and feed position; process transactions; and provide support. Personalize and recommend content (legitimate interests and consent where required). We rank and shuffle feeds, suggest football reels and creators, maintain category feeds, identify mutual connections, and use signals such as watch history, completion, engagement, recency, categories, and follows to make the experience relevant. Communicate with you (contract, legitimate interests, or consent). We send security notices, account and service messages, activity notifications, message alerts, support responses, policy notices, creator updates, and marketing where permitted. You can manage optional communications through available settings. Support creators, advertising, and monetization (contract and legitimate interests). We calculate engagement and view metrics, administer gifts or earnings, measure sponsored reels, prevent artificial engagement, process advertising applications, and provide campaign reporting. Monetization availability and eligibility may vary. Improve and develop DiskieReels (legitimate interests). We analyze performance, playback, buffering, uploads, downloads, crashes, navigation, feature adoption, and user feedback; conduct research; test features; and develop analytics or machine-learning systems. Where artificial intelligence is used, we apply appropriate safeguards and do not rely solely on automated processing for decisions that produce significant legal effects unless permitted by law. Safety, integrity, and moderation (legitimate interests and legal obligations). We detect spam, fake engagement, impersonation, fraud, account compromise, illegal content, copyright complaints, harassment, harmful conduct, and coordinated abuse. We review reports, apply content restrictions, remove content, block users, enforce thresholds and community rules, preserve evidence, and protect users and the public. Legal and compliance purposes (legal obligation and legitimate interests). We comply with laws, lawful requests, app-store requirements, tax and accounting duties, sanctions, court orders, and regulatory obligations; enforce our Terms; and establish, exercise, or defend legal claims. Business operations and transactions (legitimate interests). We administer SeMo Group, conduct audits, manage vendors and partnerships, and support a financing, merger, acquisition, reorganization, asset sale, or similar transaction. 4. How We Share Information We do not disclose personal information except as described in this Policy or with your direction. 4.1 Service Providers and Operators We share information with vendors that provide authentication, databases, hosting, file storage, content delivery, video processing, push notifications, analytics, crash reporting, cybersecurity, customer support, content moderation, payments, email, advertising measurement, and professional services. Providers are authorized to process information only for contracted purposes and must apply appropriate confidentiality and security measures. Examples may include Supabase, OneSignal, Google Play services, cloud hosting providers, and payment processors. 4.2 Other Users and the Public Public profile information, usernames, profile images, biographies, follower relationships, verification status, public reels, descriptions, hashtags, categories, comments, likes and counts, view counts, and other public interactions may be visible to users or the public. Direct messages are visible to conversation participants and may be reviewed where necessary for safety, support, or legal compliance. Your settings and the feature context determine what is public where controls are available. 4.3 Creators, Advertisers, and Partners We may share aggregated campaign and audience measurements with advertisers, sponsors, football organizations, agencies, and creators. Where you interact with a sponsored reel or promotion, we may share activity metadata, campaign identifiers, and aggregated results with the relevant partner. We will obtain consent before sharing identifiable information where required by law. 4.4 Legal, Safety, and Rights Protection We may disclose information when we reasonably believe it is necessary to comply with law or a lawful request; investigate illegal activity; prevent serious harm; respond to emergencies; protect the rights, property, or safety of SeMo Group, users, creators, partners, or the public; enforce our Terms; or investigate fraud, abuse, security incidents, or intellectual-property claims. 4.5 Corporate Transactions Information may be reviewed or transferred in connection with an investment, financing, merger, acquisition, restructuring, insolvency, or sale of all or part of our business. A recipient must honor applicable privacy commitments or provide notice of material changes. 5. Advertising and Sale or Sharing of Personal Information DiskieReels may display ordinary advertisements, sponsored reels, or branded content. We and our partners may use device, activity, and campaign information to select, deliver, limit, secure, and measure advertising. Where required, we will request consent for personalized advertising and provide controls to withdraw it. We do not sell identifiable personal information for money. Some advertising or measurement activity may be considered "sharing," "targeted advertising," or a "sale" under broad definitions in certain US state laws. Where those laws apply, you may opt out by contacting semogrouptech@gmail.com and by using available device or in-app advertising controls. We honor recognized opt-out preference signals, including Global Privacy Control, where legally required. We do not knowingly sell or share for cross-context behavioral advertising the personal information of users under 16. 6. De-identified and Aggregated Information We create aggregated or de-identified information, such as overall reel views, category trends, completion rates, creator performance, regional audience statistics, moderation trends, and campaign reach. Once information cannot reasonably be linked to an individual, it is not treated as personal information under this Policy. We may use and share it for analytics, research, product development, safety, business planning, advertising measurement, and lawful commercial purposes. We maintain de-identified information in de-identified form and do not attempt to re-identify it except where permitted to test safeguards. 7. International Data Transfers DiskieReels serves a global football community. Information may be stored or processed in South Africa, the United States, the European Economic Area, and other countries where SeMo Group or its providers operate. Privacy laws in those locations may differ from those in your country. Where required, we use safeguards such as contractual protections, data-processing agreements, Standard Contractual Clauses, adequacy decisions, and equivalent POPIA transfer mechanisms. 8. Data Retention and Deletion We retain information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including service delivery, safety, dispute resolution, accounting, and legal compliance. Account and profile information is generally kept while your account is active and for a limited period after deletion for security, fraud prevention, disputes, and legal obligations. Public reels, thumbnails, comments, replies, messages, and attachments are retained while needed to provide the relevant feature. Deleted content may remain temporarily in backups, caches, moderation records, or copies lawfully retained by other users. Likes, follows, saves, shares, reports, views, and engagement records are retained while needed to provide accurate product, safety, and creator metrics. Push tokens are kept while associated with an active installation or account and are removed, replaced, or made inactive when they expire, you log out, disable notifications, or the system detects they are invalid. Raw diagnostics and activity logs are generally retained for up to 12 months unless a longer period is needed for security, fraud prevention, or legal compliance, after which they are deleted or de-identified. Transaction, payout, tax, and accounting records are kept for legally required periods. Reports, moderation decisions, blocked-user records, and evidence of serious abuse may be retained to prevent repeat violations and defend legal claims. De-identified and aggregated information may be retained indefinitely. You may request account deletion from Settings > Privacy Center > Delete Account, where available, or by emailing semogrouptech@gmail.com. Account deletion removes or de-identifies account information and user content unless retention is required for legal, safety, fraud-prevention, payment, dispute, or backup purposes. We may ask you to verify ownership before completing a request. 9. Your Choices and Privacy Rights Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of personal information; object to or restrict processing; withdraw consent; opt out of targeted advertising or certain sharing; and appeal a denied request. DiskieReels offers these controls to all users where applicable: Review and edit profile information in account settings. Change username, profile and cover images, biography, and available privacy controls. Manage push-notification permission through DiskieReels and device settings. Control who may send messages where message privacy settings are available. Unfollow, block, report, delete comments, remove content, or delete your account through available controls. Opt out of marketing using an unsubscribe link or by contacting us. Request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, objection, or advertising opt-out by emailing semogrouptech@gmail.com. We may verify your identity before fulfilling a request. Authorized agents may submit requests where permitted by law, subject to proof of authorization. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right. If we deny a request, we will explain the reason and available appeal options where required. 10. Region-Specific Disclosures 10.1 South Africa POPIA gives South African data subjects rights to be notified of collection, access personal information, request correction or deletion, object to certain processing, withdraw consent, and complain to the Information Regulator. We take reasonable steps to ensure information is adequate, relevant, not excessive, accurate, and protected. Operators processing information for us are subject to written security and confidentiality obligations. Direct marketing by electronic communication is handled in accordance with POPIA. You may contact our Information Officer at semogrouptech@gmail.com or lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa. 10.2 European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and Switzerland Where the GDPR, UK GDPR, or Swiss data-protection law applies, our legal bases are described in Section 3. You may access, correct, erase, restrict, or port information; object to processing based on legitimate interests; withdraw consent; and complain to a supervisory authority. Where we rely on legitimate interests, we balance those interests against your rights. International transfers use safeguards described in Section 7. 10.3 California and Other US States Residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Iowa, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Oregon, Texas, Utah, Virginia, and other states with applicable privacy laws may have rights to confirm processing, access, correct, delete, and obtain portable information and to opt out of targeted advertising, sale, certain sharing, or qualifying profiling. You may appeal a decision by emailing semogrouptech@gmail.com. Categories collected may include identifiers; account credentials; commercial and transaction information; internet or electronic-network activity; approximate geolocation; audio, visual, or user-generated information; communications; device data; and inferences. We disclose relevant categories to service providers for business purposes. We do not sell personal information for money. To opt out of qualifying targeted advertising or sharing, contact us and use available advertising controls. 10.4 Canada and Quebec Canadian users may request access and correction, withdraw consent subject to legal limitations, and complain to the appropriate privacy authority. Quebec residents may also request information about automated decision-making and portability of computerized information where applicable. Contact our Privacy Officer at semogrouptech@gmail.com. 10.5 Other Regions We honor mandatory privacy rights available under applicable local law. Contact us if your region is not listed and you want to exercise a right. 11. Children and Teen Users DiskieReels is not directed to children under 13, or a higher minimum age where local law requires it. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children below the applicable minimum age. If we learn that such information was collected, we will take reasonable steps to delete it. A parent or guardian who believes a child created an account may contact semogrouptech@gmail.com. Teen users should use privacy and safety tools carefully and should not share private contact details, school information, precise location, financial information, or other sensitive material in public reels or messages. Parents and guardians should supervise younger users as appropriate. If DiskieReels is offered to children in a region where parental consent is required, we will implement the required age assurance and consent process before that offering. 12. User Content, Downloads, and Copyright Reels and other public content may be viewed, shared, embedded, or downloaded where the creator and product settings permit. Downloaded reels may include a DiskieReels watermark, creator username, or branded ending screen. Users are responsible for ensuring they have rights to upload music, video, logos, and other content. We may process copyright notices, remove infringing content, preserve complaint records, and disclose information where legally required. Deleting a reel removes it from active DiskieReels distribution, subject to backups, moderation records, legal retention, and copies already downloaded or shared by others. We cannot control copies lawfully or unlawfully retained outside our Services. 13. Safety and Content Moderation DiskieReels provides reporting, blocking, moderation, rate-limiting, and anti-abuse tools. Reports may be reviewed automatically and manually. Content may be restricted or removed when it violates our Terms, Community Guidelines, law, or rights of others. Reels that reach a valid report threshold may be automatically removed pending review. We may retain report and enforcement information to prevent evasion, investigate appeals, and improve safety. Automated systems may assist with spam detection, duplicate content, engagement integrity, harmful content, account security, and recommendation quality. Human review is used where appropriate, particularly for appeals and significant enforcement decisions. 14. Security We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information, including encryption in transit, access controls, authentication, restricted service credentials, database security rules, logging, backups, monitoring, vendor review, and incident-response procedures. Sensitive credentials are not intended to be stored in public app code. No service can guarantee absolute security. You should use a strong, unique password, protect your device, and report suspected account compromise promptly. If a personal-data breach creates a legally notifiable risk, we will notify affected users and regulators in accordance with applicable law. 15. Third-Party Links and Services DiskieReels may link to creator websites, advertisers, sponsors, app stores, social platforms, or other third-party services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own notices, not this Policy. Review those notices before providing information. We are not responsible for third-party content or practices except where the law provides otherwise. 16. Changes to This Policy We may update this Policy to reflect new features, providers, legal requirements, or practices. The updated date will appear at the top.
